Sometimes in life we don’t know “why”. We don’t understand why God allows certain things to happen nor do we ever completely understand why He does the things He does… But we do know that our God is Sovereign.
We know that He is God & He is on His throne & that nothing is too big for Him, nor does anything catch Him by surprise! And we must REST in that!
Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.”
Sometimes we question what He is doing, or His timing in our lives, thinking that we may actually know better. But that’s where we must step back, humble ourselves before Almighty God & rest in His peace, His provision & His timing. Realizing that He sees the big picture, for this life is but a moment to Him.
So, what if we began living our lives not in fear of the why’s but for the why not! Instead of saying to him “But God what if…” or “God why are you asking us to give this, go there, change this…” we instead surrender & say, “God, why would we not…”
I often wonder what I might miss out on or, what I’ve missed out on in the past, that God has in store for me because I’m afraid & fearful of the “what if’’s”. Why do we seek our comfort more than all of what He has to offer us??
To live our lives in reckless abandon to our God…Why not?!?
What do we have to lose?
Everything. That’s exactly His idea!
