Welcome to our new blog! We are excited about having a format where women can come to find encouragement, laughter, new recipes, and other fun things! Whatever stage of life we find ourselves: single or married, widowed or divorced, working mom or stay at home mom, athletic or artsy, out going or shy, young, middle age, or more mature age (☺) the fact remains women need women!
We just completed our winter women’s event “Momentum” and I believe a movement has begun among our women. A movement is a large group of people who share the same aim and work together to achieve it. Momentum “the force that keeps something moving and developing in a certain direction over time.”
We ended our Momentum event with the song “We Are” by Kari Jobe. Check it out if you’ve not heard it. Here some of the lyrics:
Every secret, every shame
Every fear, every pain
Live inside the dark
But that’s not who we are
We are children of the day
So wake up sleeper, lift your head
We were meant for more than this
Fight the shadows conquer death
Make the most of the time we have
We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine
It’s time! Where does your light need to shine brighter? At home, the office, in your neighborhood (this is for me), at the grocery store, among those on your child’s ball team or cheer squad, in traffic, _______________ you fill in the blank!
Get on board and join in the Momentum. We need you!
