Unpacking Faithfulness

Faithfulness. When you unpack it what do you find?

You see, it is a sticky word. It adheres firmly and steadfastly connects to a person, cause, or idea. It’s loyal, constant, and true – worthy of complete trust and absolute belief. It breathes affection and speaks allegiance. Resolute in cause and purpose, faithfulness is both determined and reliable.  Like love, it never quits.

Faithful is one of the greatest characteristics of God.

Faithful is what He is, when we are not.

Faithful is what God is looking for in us.

In this fickle world, it’s rare and precious. Hard to find and hard to be in our own strength, we know scripture says it pleases God. And that’s exactly why…

The tempter plots against us to destroy it.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to maintain it.

And grace covers us to restore it.

Have you ever really unpacked exactly what faithfulness means and how it manifests itself in the character of God? Why not take a moment and go there. Lean in and go deep into these layers of truth.
